History and Approach

The New Apostolic Church is a Christian denomination with approximately 9 million members worldwide. Our presence in the United States dates back to the late 1800’s. Our members have worshipped in the greater Atlanta area since 1975. In 2013, the opportunity to merge two congregations together presented itself when the church campus at 5477 Roberts Drive in Dunwoody became available for rent. In 2015, an opportunity to purchase the campus presented itself and we were fortunate to be able to act upon it.

Since 2013, the purpose-built daycare building on the premises was used to house Sunday School and congregational activities and events. However, there was a hope and desire to do something more with this space for the benefit of the community. This was rooted in the message found in Deuteronomy 6 that we “teach our children diligently” because we know that matters of faith are decided upon and the foundation for good Christian behavior is laid very early in life. We believe our society benefits from having solid God-fearing citizens and compassionate leaders and it is our desire to help parents cultivate and nurture such future leaders.

The creation of such an organization and supporting space is not without its challenges. In late 2015, the local congregation and the national church administration began a study and with much perseverance and God’s grace an agreeable plan, approved by the City of Dunwoody, was developed and implemented. We are delighted that a concept gave birth in July 2017 to a new community offering in Young Hearts Academy at Dunwoody, GA. Using a non-denominational, faith-based curriculum with substance, we intend to partner with parents to help them “grow compassionate leaders for tomorrow.”

We welcome you to come and see our renovated space and natural playscape, all of which is designed to create a calm, peaceful environment where the wonder of God’s creation can be explored and enjoyed. In addition, our certified professional and experienced staff are dedicated to taking each curious young mind and heart and helping them to feel God’s love for everything and everyone and discern the talents He placed in each child.

For the safety of your children, it is our policy to not post any photos of our enrolled children or the activities they engage in.  However, we welcome you to arrange a personal tour to see our facility and the curriculum in action.  To make this arrangement, please visit the website menu at:  ENROLLMENT/ADMISSION/MORE INFORMATION.
